Chuck Owen's purchase of Auto Color & Equipment Co. was the first step in the growth of this specialty store's success. The Medina store was the springboard that enabled Chuck to utilize his automotive background to expand his business from a single store in 1986 to the four locations he has today. Auto Color & Equipment Co. sells all types of body shop supplies. With stores in Medina, Wooster, Lorain, and Youngstown, we're able to offer service throughout the entire Northern Ohio area. Our customers are primarily independent autobody shops and autobody shops associated with automobile dealers although we also cater to individuals who are involved in do-it-yourself projects.

We supply autobody shops with all of their body repair and painting needs and offer delivery service right to their door. Although we don't rent equipment, we do sell air compressors and all of the necessary tools for body shop work. We host clinics for body shop professionals and we're always available to them as a dependable technical support resource.

For the do-it-yourselfer, we use our expertise to walk them through the procedures required to repair a dented fender, touch-up their paint job and the rust on their vehicle, or to produce a professional shine. Our specialty is offering both the products and the know-how needed to make autobody repairs and we can make recommendations on where to go for professional work.

We stock sandpaper, body filler, primer, and paint, just to mention of few of our many products. We mix the paint right here in the store and can even mix in quantities as small as a half pint. When our customers don't know the name of the color they have, we use our computerized color matching equipment to produce an exact match to the original.
