After the success of the Forest Meadows Villas independent living facility in 1986, Mel and David Gershpacher and Agnes Keenan noticed that some of their residents didn't have the energy for cleaning and cooking, while others didn't want to cook for one person and dine alone. As they discussed how nice it would be if only they could provide the cooking and cleaning service for the residents, they began to ask residents if it was a concept that captured their interest. The residents thought is was a good idea, and the planning stage was begun. They broke ground in early 1994, and by August 5 Camelot Place was open for business. We met recently with Agnes, Mel, and David, and listened as they outlive the accommodations available at Camelot Place;
Camelot Place strives to provide their residents with a sense of community and the very best care possible. Call Agnes Keenan or stop by Camelot Place to meet with her personally today, and don't forget to her The Advocate sent you! |
