With a background in Internet technologies and web development, Chad Wilson survived the dot com bust of late 2001 and used his experience and skill to land on his feet as the President and CEO of his own firm, Chad Allan Consulting, LLC. Founding his company in October 2001, Chad's business quickly grew due to the lower risk and lower overhead achieved by operating from his home, and, in May 2002, Chad Allan Consulting moved into their current headquarters on East Smith Road. Chad Allan Consulting provides three closely related services to businesses in three closely related areas. We design, build, and integrate web application solutions for companies throughout the United States, and, locally, we provide computer services such as networking support, firewalls, virus protection and removal, and others for small to mid size businesses in Medina County. We also have a data center in Columbus where we house our own servers to provide web site and email solutions for our Internet clients and off-site backups and protected data storage for our local clients. For all of these endeavors, we see ourselves more as a consultant to companies rather than a vendor simply providing a solution. We function as the architect for the client, building, designing, and integrating our solutions with their existing strategies from start to finish.
We have developed two web based applications called Solution Toolbox and EZ Binder. Solution Toolbox is a content management system geared toward companies who want to be able to self-maintain their web presence without relying on vendors to do their updates. It has the ability to create, edit, manage, and update their Internet presence in an easy-to-use, browser-based format. Locally, the Chamber of Commerce is using Solution Toolbox to manage their site. It allows them to keep the member directory up to date, put their newsletter on line, and, in about thirty seconds, they can put together an email and send it to eleven hundred members within the Chamber. It has helped them be more productive and has given them the tools to keep their site current without relying on a third party vendor.
EZ Binder is a document management, distribution, and communication system developed primarily for distributed sales forces. For example, insurance companies typically have satellite offices in many cities and they have a great number of documents they need to disseminate to each of their branches. With EZ Binder, the agents can retrieve up-to-date documents, specs, price sheets, policies, procedures, and marketing initiatives online and in an environment that's completely web-based and totally secure.
Many companies with products to sell will make an investment in the web application to make the sales, but, they neglect to allocate funding to promote their efforts online. To maximize the return on their investment and to achieve their goals, they need to focus on targeted, web-based advertising, not necessarily banner ads, but, different types of search engine optimization tools that will direct customers to their e-commerce site.
