That's the motto of Curtis Perkins, owner of C. Martin Trucking, founded in 1946 by his great uncle Clarence Martin. Curtis began learning the business and working with his uncle part time after school when he was twelve years old and in 1988, he became the new owner of this family business that has grown to include his wife, daughter, son-in-law, and sixteen employees. The company's motto puts a huge grin on the face of everyone who hears it and, not surprisingly, we're told that they've never had a complaint! Curtis spent time showing us his facility recently and explaining his business like this:

C. Martin Trucking is a trash hauling company. We pick up residential curb side trash and also commercial and industrial refuse with the dumpsters. Our residential customers are mainly in Medina and Wayne County townships and we do have some customers in Summit County. We offer residential pick-up throughout the township and in the villages where we have trash hauling contracts. Our roll-off, dumpster business includes Medina, Wayne, Summit, Cuyahoga, and occasionally Ashland Counties. Every day we have nine trucks on the road to service our customers' needs.

We offer fast, dependable service and we strive to take good care of our customers' containers. The trucks start rolling at 3:00 am so we can be prompt with our pick-ups and a lot of our customers really appreciate the fact that we've already picked up and they can put their containers away before they leave for work. We're very involved in recycling and in Medina County, we take our trash to the Central Processing Facility where the recyclables are removed before sending the rest to the landfill. We'll haul large items like furniture, stoves, and most appliances with the exception of refrigerators which are under strict guidelines due to their freon content.

We like to actively support the local community and we sponsor and contribute to a lot of school activities at Medina City Schools, the Highland School District, and the Cloverleaf School District. We support the Little League in Lodi and the one in Valley City in addition to a softball league in Chippewa Lake. We've been regular supporters of the Chatham VFW, the Erhart and Granger Fire Departments, and the Medina Kiwanis Club and I'm presently on the Board of Directors of the Medina Chamber of Commerce.
