The goal of the Medina Centre for Dance Art is to enrich the lives of children and adults through all types of dance. Strict disciplines for each art form are followed and taught in a loving and fun environment. All of their teachers have extensive resumes, including dance education, performance and competition experience, and, of course, teaching experience. A strong dance education can improve all aspects of a person's life by encouraging the building of self esteem, self confidence, coordination, flexibility, and general physical fitness. The Medina Centre for Dance Art hosts many workshops throughout the year including their "Mom & Me" ballet workshop which is for mothers and their children to enjoy fun, creative movement exercises, stretching exercises, large motor skill development, and to gain an introduction to fun ballet terms. An Irish Step Dancing workshop introduces dancers to various warm-up and strength building techniques in addition to teaching various skips, walks, and a beginner Irish jig. Trial periods are available for those under eight years old and classes are held at convenient times.
