Hardwood Design

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Gary Luta, the owner of a local full-service remodeling company named Hardwood Design and discovered the "Holy Grail" of contracting! Everyone is looking for a good contractor and all of us can tell horror stories about the time ours didn't work out but I can't imagine anyone being anything but thrilled with Gary's work. He can't imagine it either so he makes the bold claim that "you'll be absolutely thrilled with their work or he'll pay you $200.00 in cash!" Now that's confidence!

With over 20 years in the remodeling business, Gary is ready to turn your unfinished basement into a comfortable recreation room and his kitchen designs are simply out of this world. His repertoire includes bathroom makeovers, counter tops, book cases, bars, custom cabinets, entertainment centers, replacement windows, fireplace mantels, and fireplace installation. Two of his busiest areas are new cabinet design and floor installations. Many contractors recommend refacing your older cabinets but Gary designs new cabinets that provide a more functional design for the price of refacing. His flooring offerings include real wood, tile, and laminates. Most of the floors he installs are laminated wood-look "snap together" floors by Alloc. These floors are beautiful and provide an easy to clean surface. One of the major benefits of Alloc snap together flooring is that if one piece of the floor gets damaged, all you have to do is to take that piece out and snap in another. It sure beats living with the blemish or needing to redo your entire floor to correct it! Gary's modus operandi is to respond to prospective client calls by taking the time to visit the client in their home to determine what they'd like done and getting the necessary measurements. He then takes this information back to his shop where he lays out the entire project on his computer and prepares floor plans and pictures of what the completed project will look like as part of his written quote. Most projects are a combination of ideas from the homeowner and suggestions from Gary. This year, Hardwood Designs is going to introduce an exciting and successful concept from California, outdoor kitchens, to the local area. What's an outdoor kitchen? Well, these can include a grill, a fireplace to take the chill off the early Spring and late Fall evenings, sinks, counters, and refrigerators. Gary can design and install everything needed to add a new dimension to outside fun!
